Every fall, reds, oranges and yellows paint the hills of East Tennessee to put on a spectacular seasonal display. If you're searching for a spot to see the scenery, look no further than Norris Dam State Park.

Park rangers will be hosting this year's fall color cruises on pontoons from the shores of Norris Lake. Here's what you need to know to save your seat on a one-of-a-kind ride.

Tours begin Oct. 19

The 2020 fall color cruises are scheduled during peak leaf season, according to the fall foliage forecast.

Tours begin Oct. 19 and go through Nov. 1. Capacity will be limited to seven people because of COVID-19 concerns and social distancing measures. Masks are required. Park rangers will take groups out on the water at 12:30 and 2 p.m. daily.

The hour-long boat trips also include commentary, tree identification and park history from rangers within the natural beauty of Norris Dam State Park.
