Norris Dam State Park's fall color cruises resume on Norris Lake

Park rangers will be hosting this year's fall color cruises on pontoons from the shores of Norris Lake. Here's what you need to know to save your seat on a one-of-a-kind ride.

The 2020 fall color cruises are scheduled during peak leaf season, according to the fall foliage forecast.
Tours begin Oct. 19 and go through Nov. 1. Capacity will be limited to seven people because of COVID-19 concerns and social distancing measures. Masks are required. Park rangers will take groups out on the water at 12:30 and 2 p.m. daily.
The hour-long boat trips also include commentary, tree identification and park history from rangers within the natural beauty of Norris Dam State Park.
Saving your spot
Passengers 6 years old and up can ride for $10. Tickets for kids under 5 years old cost $6. Children 17 and under must be accompanied by an adult and should have a lifejacket.
The money raised from the tours goes to the Friends of Norris Dam State Park organization, which supports the park's preservation and education efforts.
